What a beautiful thing
Sometimes you have peace and a gentle schedule, moving slowly within the rhythm of your life and getting lots of sleep. And sometimes it’s a music festival weekend in your sleepy little town and you go to four days in a row of live music and host a songwriters’ circle and fill your soul so fully with the experience that you fall into your bed semi-comatose with a big, dopey grin on your face once all has come to a close.
What a beautiful thing it was, this past Hibernate weekend. I am barely scraping together the necessary hours today to get back on task with work and rehearsals so this is going to be a very short little note. I am tired but energized. I was so inspired that my husband even ordered me a new instrument as an early birthday present - you’ll see it at shows this spring once I’ve had a chance to practice.
I hope you have a spectacular week, and if you’re local, I hope I’ll be seeing you at the Ganny on Friday for Walk the Line!

Upcoming Shows (Shannon and Jakeb)
We are so happy to be part of the lineup for the sold out Walk the Line show on February 23 benefitting Greenwood Coalition. Thanks to Sean Carthew for inviting us!
Mark your calendar for April 20, when we’re teaming up with Katie Hoogendam and Whitney O’Hearn for a show in honour of Earth Month. More details to come, hopefully my newest instrument will be ready by then!
